We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, and they incur lots of out-of-pocket expenses. You might not be aware that cancer insurance is available and can provide you with extra benefits in case you are diagnosed with cancer.

About 2/3 of costs related to cancer are non-medical, meaning they aren't directly related to treatment. Other forms of insurance do not cover these non-medical costs!

Most cancer plans pay you a lump sum as soon as you are diagnosed with internal cancer. Depending on the amount of your policy benefit, you might receive a payment of $10,000 or $20,000, which you can use at your discretion, to cover travel and meal expenses, experimental drugs, child or home care, and so on. There are no claim forms to complete, it's just a one-time payment to use as you wish.
