Our services are completely free here at Sams/Hockaday.
Whether it’s doing an annual review with you or running a drug comparison, we will never charge you for our assistance.
That leaves a lot of clients with a simple question:
how do you get paid?
Our service is commission-based, which means your agent is paid a commission when they sell an insurance policy. That money does not come out of your pocket, though – the insurance company provides that commission.
For example, let’s say you buy a Medigap policy from Cigna. Cigna then pays a commission to your agent. We represent dozens of insurance carriers, which means your agent is likely appointed with – or is able to sell – many different types of products from many different companies.
Commissions vary greatly depending on the type of insurance sold and what the premium of that insurance is. For example, let’s say you purchased a plan with a $1,000 annual premium. The agent might be paid a 15% commission or $150 for that sale.
What many people don’t realize is that you pay the same premium if you buy from us as if you bought directly from the carrier. The difference is that you have an advocate by your side when you choose to work with us.
We will help you save money and time on your insurance while offering support all along the way.
While we realize that selling insurance is what keeps our doors open, we want you to know that our dedication to serving you is what gives our business purpose.
Our agents have chosen this profession to help our local adults navigate the confusing waters of Medicare. That’s why we don’t stop serving you after the sale. We will be by your side every step of the way, from annual reviews to assisting you with the complicated claims process.
Don’t take our word for it. Here are some testimonials from our long-time clients.
