Good News: Your Medicare Part B Premiums Are Going Down In 2023

Good news! Your Medicare Part B premiums are reducing by 3% in 2023. Your Part B deductible is also decreasing.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced Tuesday, September 27, 2022 that the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $164.90 in 2023. That's a $5.20 decrease from $170.10 in 2022.

The annual Medicare Part B deductible is also going down $7 to $226 in 2023.

In May 2022, CMS recommended a decrease for 2023 Part B premiums, and it looks like that recommendation has come to fruition. The decrease is due to lower-than-expected spending on Aduhelm, the new Alzheimer's drug.
